Web 2.0 Apps - GlobalScholar and bookalesson

GlobalScholar - http://www.globalscholar.com/
This site is an excellent source for online tutoring. Parents, students, and school administrators can connect with trustworthy educators who can create, manage, and align assignments to the students curriculum. This is not a free site. This type of tutoring can be beneficial and possibly cost effective for a school district.

bookalesson.com - http://bookalesson.com/
This site lets you access an instructors schedule by eliminating voice mails, callbacks, etc. You just browse your category of interest, find your instructor, and book your lessons. This can cut down on phone calls, email messages, and wasted trips. Students and instructors can sign up for free, but there is a cost for lessons. This can be a great pathway for instructors to garner students.

These are both interesting sites. The Global Scholar had a variety of routes one could pursue. The tutoring aspect is interesting. I suppose $5 per question isn't too bad. . . I wonder, as online learning/schools becomes more popular, if this type of tutoring will also rise in popularity.
The bookalesson site still seemed to be getting on its feet to me, but it is an interesting concept as well. As I read their blogging portion, I see how the 2.0ness is expressed.

Both of these sites seemed like good tools for students, parents and teachers. I was also wondering if sites like these will become more and more popular because online schools/classes are increasing. Tutoring online is easier than trying to meet with someone and go somewhere. It's all about the "easy" factor. If it's more convenient then more people are likely to do it.
